Thanks to our good friends at Green Philly Blog for mentioning our work to compost the leaves and yard waste collected on Philly’s Spring Cleanup day in Fairmount! Per the article, we picked up 31 bags of leaves and yard waste collected by Fairmount residents at the cleanup run by Fairmount Civic Association. The volunteers who dedicated their time to cleaning up on a Saturday prevented their leaves and yard waste from going to landfills – we’re composting it instead for Philly’s urban farms and gardens!
